This thesis is the analyses of an explorative field study on the socio-cultural perception of crises in istanbul realized from 2016 to 2017. The aim of this study is to examine how people with different (cultural) backgrounds that live in the same city deal with crises and upheavals and which coping mechanisms they develop.
