Authors:Ganiyusufoglu, A. Kursad; Kantarcı, Mecit; Sirvanci, Mustafa; Sildiroglu, Onur; Alparslan, L.
Publisher and Date:(Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, 2005)Vertebral artery tortuosity and loop formation are rare causes of cervical radiculopathy. The criterion standard for the detection of vertebral artery loop formation is digital subtraction angiography. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging provide good accuracy in the evaluation of vertebral arteries. A case of vertebral artery loop formation is reported. The diagnosis was confirmed by 16-row multisection CT angiography findings of vertebral artery loop formation.

Myositis ossificans of psoas muscle: Magnetic resonance imaging findings
Authors:Sirvanci, Mustafa; Ganiyusufoglu, A. Kursad; Karaman, Kübra; Tezer, M; Hamzaoǧlu, Azmi
Publisher and Date:(Blackwell Munksgaard, 2004)Myositis ossificans is a benign localized self-limiting ossifying soft tissue mass with unknown pathogenesis. It may be confused with a malignant tumor of bone or soft tissues especially in the early stages of the disease. In this report we present a case of myositis ossificans affecting unilateral psoas muscle which to our knowledge is a very uncommon location. There was no history of trauma. We describe the imaging findings and clues to early diagnosis of myositis ossificans.
