  • Broadband double-matching via lossless unsymmetrical lattice networks

    In this paper a broadband double-matching network design algorithm has been presented. In the network an unsymmetrical lattice network has been used. The branch impedances of the lattice network are composed of singly terminated lossless LC networks. After giving the procedure its usage has been illustrated via an example.

  • Design table formation of stepped impedance prototype filters

    In literature there exist some tables containing normalized element values to design low-pass lumped-element prototype filters with several different responses like maximally flat or equal-ripple. In this work an algorithm is presented to form such tables for stepped impedance prototype filters. By using the proposed algorithm a table for 0.5 dB equal-ripple stepped impedance prototype filter is formed. Then a design example is given to show the utilization of the formed table.

    In this work element value calculation algorithms have been proposed for low-pass high-pass band-pass and band-stop LC ladder networks. According to the calculated constant from the given transfer scattering matrix the element type that will be extracted is decided. After calculating the element value its transfer scattering matrix is obtained.
