Diriliş Ertuğrul dizisi üzerine bir alımlama çalışması

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the TV series Diriliş Ertuğrul, broadcasted for five seasons on TRT 1 between December 10, 2014, and May 29, 2019, was received in oppositional reading by the audience and how this oppositional reading was associated with daily life. Oppositional reading is a position in Stuart Hall's Encoding / Decoding model, where the audience engages the TV's messages with resistance and performs a reverse reading of these discourses, being aware of the discourses suggested by the series. Tweets created during the 5th season of the series on Twitter were used as data while examining the oppositional readings of the TV series audience. The oppositional reading position in Stuart Hall's encoding / decoding model has been used while classifying the oppositional reading position. The tweets classified as oppositional reading were also examined in terms of their association with daily life in the context of the emphasis on understanding how reception practices relate to daily life in the reception literature. Although there have been studies on the fiction of the Diriliş Ertuğrul series which proceeds in parallel with the political discourse, the oppositional discourses created by the audience have been of less interest. In this study, it has been showed that how the oppositional discourses formed by the audience against the discourse of the series are shaped in daily life. As a result, viewers shaped their oppositional discourse on economic issues, political decisions, and the government's perspective on historical issues, and criticized the government's policies by reversing the discourse of the series.

Bu tez çalışmasının amacı, 10 Aralık 2014 ile 29 Mayıs 2019 tarihleri arasında TRT 1 kanalında beş sezon olarak yayınlanan Diriliş Ertuğrul dizisinin, izleyiciler tarafından nasıl karşıt bir şekilde alımlandığı ve bu karşıtlığın gündelik yaşam ile nasıl ilişkilendirildiğini incelemektir. Karşıt okuma, Stuart Hall'ün Kodlama/ Kodaçımlama modelinde yer alan, izleyicinin dizinin mesajlarını dirençle karşılandığı ve dizinin önerdiği söylemlerin farkında olarak bu söylemlerin tersine bir okuma gerçekleştirdiği bir konumdur . Dizi izleyicisinin karşıt okumaları incelenirken dizinin 5. sezonu boyunca Twiter'da oluşturulan tweetler kullanılmıştır. Karşıt okumalar sınıflandırılırken Stuart Hall'ün Kodlama/ Kodaçımlama modelinde yer alan karşıt okuma biçiminden yararlanılmıştır. Alımlama literatüründe alımlama pratiklerinin gündelik hayat ile nasıl ilişkilendirildiğinin anlaşılmasına yapılan vurgu bağlamında karşıt olarak sınıflandırılan tweetler ayrıca gündelik hayat ile ilişkilendirilmesi açısından da incelenmiştir. İktidar tarafından politik söyleme fazlaca eklemlenen Diriliş Ertuğrul dizisinin politik söylemle paralel ilerleyen kurgusuna ilişkin çalışmalar yapılmış olmasına karşın, dizinin oluşturduğu karşıt söylemler daha az ilgi odağı olmuştur. Bu çalışmada izleyicinin dizinin söylemine karşı oluşturduğu karşıt söylemlerin gündelik yaşamda nasıl şekillendiği ortaya koyulmuştur. Sonuç olarak izleyiciler söylemlerini ekonomi meseleleri, politik kararlar ve iktidarın tarih meselelerine bakışı üzerinde şekillendirmiş ve iktidarın politikalarını dizinin söylemini tersine çevirerek eleştirmişlerdir.
