The purpose of the chapter is to identify the nature of innovation practiced in rural organizations. Accordingly, this study focuses on the processes of innovation in bamboo craft initiatives in rural territories of Northeast India. The study examines the craft economy in the region and involvement of main actors in the process from making to marketing via tracing the impact of a decades-old successful development intervention. Based on the neo-endogenous development theory and rural capital framework, the chapter investigates distinct business models emerged through a multi-actor intervention. Identification of actors and their roles in the network reveals the four phases of the process of rural innovation. © 2020 Nova Science Publishers, Inc. All rights reserved.en_US
