Wallace Stevens's Poetics of the Other
Authors:
Publisher and Date:(Walter De Gruyter Gmbh, 2017)This article reveals a central yet hitherto unsuspected meditation in Wallace Stevens on the problem of the other person in relation to the concept of the other construed by Gilles Deleuze as the "expression of a possible world" (1990: 308). It demonstrates that, seen from this perspective, the figure of subjectivity appears to be a rhetorical means in the service of a poetics centered on the other. Wavelet-based cognitive SCMA system for mmWave 5G communication networks
Authors:
Publisher and Date:(Inst Engineering Technology-IET, 2017)Fifth generation (5G) communication networks can achieve high spectral efficiency using sparse code multiple access (SCMA) scheme when large number of users are trying to transmit their data simultaneously. The sparsity of SCMA codewords offers the possibility of applying a low-complexity message passing algorithm as an alternative to maximum likelihood detector. However the requirement of densely deployed 5G users is to opportunistically explore new frequencies via cognitive features to overcome ...

Weak generalized and numerical solution for a quasilinear pseudo-parabolic equation with nonlocal boundary condition
Authors:
Publisher and Date:(Springer International Publishing, 2014)This paper investigates the one dimensional mixed problem with nonlocal boundary conditions for the quasilinear parabolic equation. Under some natural regularity and consistency conditions on the input data the existence uniqueness convergence of the weak generalized solution and also continuous dependence upon the data of the solution are shown by using the generalized Fourier method. We construct an iteration algorithm for the numerical solution of this problem.

Weight Exchange in Distributed Learning
Authors:
Publisher and Date:(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2016)Neural networks may allow different organisations to extract knowledge from the data they collect about a similar problem domain. Moreover learning algorithms usually benefit from being able to use more training instances. But the parties owning the data are not always keen on sharing it. We propose a way to implement distributed learning to improve the performance of neural networks without sharing the actual data among different organisations. This paper deals with the alternative methods of ...
