Jejunojejunal intussusception secondary to lipoma in an adult: a case report
Authors:Çakırer, Sinan; Şırvancı, Mustafa; Duran, Cihan
Publisher and Date:(Blackwell Munksgaard, 2002)Lipoma is a rare cause of adult intussusception. We present the CT findings of an adult patient with jejunojejunal intussusception secondary to submucosal lipoma as the lead point in this case report.

Monostotic fibrous dysplasia of the clivus: MRI and CT findings
Authors:Şırvancı, Mustafa; Karaman, Kübra; Onat, Levent; Duran, Cihan; Ulusoy, Onur Levent
Publisher and Date:(Springer Verlag, 2002)Fibrous dysplasia is a developmental disorder caused by abnormal proliferation and maturation of fibroblasts resulting in replacement of mature bone by structurally weak immature woven bone. Clival involvement in monostotic fibrous dysplasia is extremely unusual and has rarely been reported previously. We report a case of monostolic fibrous dysplasia of the clivus with special emphasis on the imaging findings and differential diagnosis.

Osteochondritis dissecans of the tarsal navicular
Authors:Öztürk, Ersin; Şırvancı, Mustafa; Mutlu, Hakan; Duran, Cihan; Sönmez, Güner
Publisher and Date:(AMER ORTHOPAEDIC FOOT & ANKLE SOC INC, 2008)A 27-year-old male athlete presented with chronic right dorsal midfoot pain and limitation in midfoot movements. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated an nondisplaced osteochondral fragment within the proximal articular surface of the tarsal navicular. Imaging findings of this disease are presented and discussed.

Pedicular stress fracture in lumbar spine
Authors:Şırvancı, Mustafa; Ulusoy, Levent; Duran, Cihan
Publisher and Date:(Elsevier Science Inc, 2002)The purpose of this article is to report two cases of pedicular stress fracture of the lumbar spine which is an uncommon cause of low back and leg pain. The relevant literature is reviewed and features of the cases that differ from those already reported are highlighted. One of our cases of pediculolysis is the first in the literature for that is caused by rotational instability induced by laminectomy. The remodeling of the fractured pedicle was striking when compared with its normal counterpart. ...

Primary epiploic appendagitis CT manifestations
Authors:Şırvancı, Mustafa; Tekelioğlu, Mehmet H.; Duran, Cihan; Yardımcı, Hakan; Onat, Levent; Özer, Kadir
Publisher and Date:(Elsevier Science Inc, 2000)Inflammation of an epiploic appendage is considered to be a rare cause of acute abdomen. Recently it has been reported that typical computed tomography (CT) findings of primary epiploic appendagitis (PEA) provide a definitive diagnosis in most of the cases. However since these papers are only few they are easily overlooked by the practicing radiologists. Our purpose is to add four new cases to the existing literature and to perform a review of the literature. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Inc. All ...

Primary epiploic appendagitis: MRI findings
Authors:Şırvancı, Mustafa; Balcı, Numan Cem; Karaman, Kutlay; Duran, Cihan; Karakaş, Emel Yigit
Publisher and Date:(Elsevier Science Inc, 2002)Primary epiploic appendagitis (PEA) occurs secondary to inflammation of an epiploic appendage and is considered to be a rare cause of acute abdomen. In this case report we describe the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings of PEA correlated with computed tomographic (CT) findings. MRI findings included an oval shaped fat intensity mass with a central dot on T1- and T2-weighted images C which possessed an enhancing rim on postgadolinium T1-weighted fat saturated images. The lesion was best ...
