Kıymetli Madenlerin Fiyatlarındaki Değişimlerin Bazı Makroekonomik Göstergelerle İlişkisi Üzerine Ekonometrik Bir Deneme

Abstract

Altın, fiziksel özellikleri nedeniyle talep gören bir maden olmasının yanı sıra, aynı zamanda yatırım amacıyla da talep görmektedir. Genellikle ekonomik veya siyasal kriz ve savaş zamanlarında altın fiyatlarının petrol fiyatlarına paralel olarak yükseldiği, diğer taraftan da aynı zamanda menkul kıymet endekslerinin düştüğü düşünülmektedir. Yapılan çalışmada; altının yanı sıra gümüş, platin ve paladyum fiyat hareketlerinin de belirtilen etkileşime konu olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Çıkan sonuçta; kıymetli madenlerin fiyatlarının farklı değişkenlere farklı tepkiler verdiği gözlemlenmiştir.Çalışmada kıymetli madenler ve ekonomideki rolleri tanıtılmıştır. Ayrıca, kıymetli madenlerin üretimi ve piyasalar açısından önemli ülkeler ve rolleri belirtilmiştir. Türkiye'deki durum ve İstanbul Altın Borsası hakkında genel bir bilgide yer almaktadır.

There is a strong demand for gold because of its physical specifications and as an investment. It is usually thought that the price of gold increases when there is an economical crisis or war as parallel of oil prices, by the same time the prices of securities decrease. With this study, it is examined that what kind of a relationship would be defined between the variables such as gold and other precious metals, inflation rates, indexes of securities, prices of oil. It seems the prices of precious metals are effected differently according to the variables.Precious metals and roles in economies are presented in the study as well as the important countries for precious metals production and markets for precious metals. A general explanation about the situation in Turkey and Istanbul Gold Exchange is found in the study.
