Kurum kültürü ve yapisinin cam tavana etkis i: İstanbul İli eğitim kurumu örneği
Abstract
Bu calismada kurum kulturu ve yapisinin cam tavan sendromu ile iliskisi arastirilmistir. Milli Egitim Bakanligi’na bagli ozel bir egitim kurumu arastirmanin evrenini olusturmustur. Arastirmanin orneklemi kadin ogretmen mudur yardimcisi mudur ve bolum baskanlarindan olusmaktadir. Mulakat ve anket degerlendirmesi ile kurum kulturu ve yapisinin cam tavana etkisi hakkinda katilimcilarin gorusleri alinmistir. Arastirmada nitel degerlendirmeyi desteklemek amacli nicel verilerden yararlanilmistir. Sonuclara gore kurum yapisinin cam tavan sendromuna dogrudan etkisi olmadigi gozlem ve yorumlarla degerlendirilirken kurum kulturunun alt degiskenlerinin cam tavan sendromunu tetikledigi belirlenmistir. In this study, the relationship between institutional culture and glass ceiling syndrome is
investigated. An educational institution affiliated to the Ministry of National Education
is the case study of this research. In this research, interviews are conducted by female
teachers, assistant principals, principals and heads of department. Participants' opinions
regarding the effect of institutional culture and its structure on glass ceiling syndrome
were asked through interviews and questionnaires. In the research, quantitative data was
used to support qualitative data. This study argues that while the observations and
interpretations in this study suggest that the institutional structure has no direct effect on
glass ceiling syndrome, the sub-variables of the institutional culture trigger glass ceiling
syndrome.
