This study, which aims to explore the position of utopian strategies within contemporary art, analyses how the utopian idea has changed from past to present and how this change reflected to modern work of art. Utopia, the idea of a better world has never lost its validity. Therefore by examining the present response of utopia as a strategic path, the study seeks the concept throughout contemporary art work. The strategic use of utopia as an ideology by the modern artists, critical attitude of the idea and its commitment on alternative future constitues the essence of the study.
